Roamix eSIM Not Working? Fix 'No Service' Issues

If your Roamix eSIM shows "No Service" or you can't get a data connection after landing, don't panic — the fix is almost always a quick settings change. Work through the checklist below and you'll be connected within minutes.

Quick Checklist

Before diving into individual steps, run through this list:

Roamix eSIM line is enabled in Settings > Cellular
Data Roaming is turned on for the Roamix line
Roamix eSIM is set as the Cellular Data source
Airplane Mode has been toggled on and off
Device has been restarted
Your destination country is covered by your Roamix plan
Your plan is not expired and has remaining data

If you can check all boxes and still have no service, jump to the "Still Not Working" section below.

Step 1 — Is Data Roaming Turned On?

This is the single most common reason eSIMs don't work abroad. Data Roaming must be enabled for your Roamix eSIM line to connect to foreign networks.

iPhone: Settings > Cellular > tap your Roamix eSIM line > toggle "Data Roaming" to on (green).

Android (Pixel): Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > select Roamix eSIM > toggle "Roaming" to on.

Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > toggle "Data Roaming" to on (make sure Roamix is the selected SIM).

Without Data Roaming enabled, your device will refuse to connect to any network outside your home country — even a correctly installed eSIM will show No Service.

Step 2 — Is the eSIM Line Enabled?

Your Roamix eSIM can be installed but inactive. Check that the line itself is switched on.

iPhone: Settings > Cellular > find the Roamix line > toggle "Turn On This Line" to on.

Android: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > select Roamix eSIM > toggle "Use SIM" to on.

Step 3 — Is Roamix Your Data Source?

Even with both lines enabled, your home SIM might still be the designated data source.

iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > select Roamix.

Android: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Preferred SIM for mobile data > select Roamix.

Step 4 — Toggle Airplane Mode

This forces your device to drop all network connections and reconnect fresh. Enable Airplane Mode in Control Center for 10–15 seconds, then disable it. Your phone will scan for available networks and connect to the strongest one.

Step 5 — Restart Your Device

A full restart clears deeper network state issues that a simple toggle can't fix. Power off completely, wait 10 seconds, power on. After restart, check your Roamix line is still enabled and data roaming is still on — some devices reset these on restart.

Step 6 — Verify Coverage for Your Country

Double-check that your Roamix plan covers the country you're in. Log in to roamix.app, go to My eSIMs, and view your plan details to see the list of supported countries. If you're in a country that isn't on the list, your eSIM won't connect there.

Some plans cover a region (e.g., Europe) but exclude specific countries. Make sure your exact destination is included.

Step 7 — Try Manual Network Selection

Your device's automatic network selection might be picking a carrier your eSIM doesn't support. Override it manually:

iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Network Selection > toggle "Automatic" off > wait for the list of available networks > select each one to test connectivity.

Android: Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Network operators > Search networks > select one manually.

Try each available carrier one at a time. When you find one that connects, leave it selected.
