How to Check Your Roamix eSIM Data Usage

You can check your remaining Roamix data balance in two places: the Roamix dashboard and your device's built-in cellular settings. For the most up-to-the-minute reading, your device settings are more accurate — the dashboard syncs periodically rather than in real time.

Check in the Roamix Dashboard

  1. Visit roamix.app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap or click "My eSIMs" in the navigation.
  3. Select the active eSIM for your current trip.
  4. Your remaining data balance is shown prominently on the eSIM detail page, along with your plan's expiry date.

The dashboard balance updates periodically based on network reports — typically every few hours. It's the best place for a clear overview, but for real-time usage while actively streaming or downloading, check your device directly.

Check on Your Device

iPhone

Go to Settings > Cellular and tap your Roamix eSIM line. Scroll down to find the "Current Period" data counter. Note that this counter doesn't reset automatically — you can reset it manually by scrolling to the bottom and tapping "Reset Statistics" at the start of your trip for a clean reading.

Android

On most Android devices: Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage and select your Roamix SIM. You'll see a graph of usage over the current billing cycle. On Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > Data Usage > select Roamix SIM.

Roamix Data Usage Alerts

Roamix automatically sends you alerts so you're never blindsided:

  • 80% used: You receive an email and push notification when you've used 80% of your plan. This is your cue to decide whether to top up.
  • 100% used: Another alert fires when your data is fully depleted. At this point, you'll need to top up to restore connectivity.

Make sure notifications are enabled for the Roamix app in your device settings to receive push alerts.

Why the In-App Balance May Lag Behind

The Roamix dashboard pulls usage data from the network periodically, not in real time. If you've been streaming video for the last 20 minutes, the dashboard may still show your balance from an hour ago.

Your device's cellular data counter (Settings > Cellular on iPhone, Settings > Data Usage on Android) tracks usage locally and reflects what you've used in real time. Use this when you need to know right now.

What to Do When You're Running Low

Don't wait until you hit 0. When you see the 80% alert:

  1. Open the Roamix dashboard.
  2. Go to My eSIMs and select your active plan.
  3. Tap "Top Up" and choose a data amount.
  4. Complete payment — data is added to your existing eSIM instantly.

No reinstall, no new QR code, no disruption to your connection. Need more data mid-trip? Top up from your Roamix dashboard in seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check how much Roamix data I have left?

Log in to roamix.app, go to My eSIMs, and select your active plan to see your remaining balance. For a real-time reading, check Settings > Cellular on iPhone or Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage on Android — your device tracks usage locally and updates instantly.

Why does the Roamix app show data remaining but I can't connect?

If the dashboard shows a balance but you have no connection, the issue is likely not data-related. Check that Data Roaming is enabled (Settings > Cellular > [Roamix eSIM] > Data Roaming), your eSIM line is active, and try toggling Airplane Mode on and off to refresh the network connection.

Does Roamix notify me when my data is almost gone?

Yes. Roamix sends both an email and a push notification when you've used 80% of your plan, and again when you reach 100%. Make sure the Roamix app has notification permissions enabled on your device to receive push alerts.

How do I see per-app data usage on my Roamix eSIM?

On iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular and scroll down to see data usage broken down by app for your Roamix eSIM line. On Android, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage, select your Roamix SIM, and the usage graph shows per-app consumption. Tap any app to see details.
