The Motorola Edge 70 series (2026) — Edge 70, 70 Ultra, 70 Fusion, and 70 Fusion+ — all support eSIM on the global variant. One active eSIM at a time alongside the physical nano-SIM.
US carrier variant warning: Motorola releases separate hardware builds for US carriers (Verizon, T-Mobile). These US-specific models may ship without eSIM hardware. Confirm your device is the global variant by checking the model number at Settings → About phone → Model before purchasing a Roamix plan.
Activation path note: Motorola runs near-stock Android (My UX overlay), so there is no Samsung-style SIM Manager. The eSIM option is at Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → + → Download a SIM instead.
Does the Edge 70 Series Support eSIM?
Yes. Each model in the Edge 70 lineup features a built-in eSIM. This allows you to add a second line for travel or business without needing a second physical SIM card. This is ideal for avoiding high international roaming fees while keeping your primary home number active.

Motorola Edge 70 eSIM for International Travel
Roamix works with any unlocked global Edge 70. Purchase a plan, scan the QR code on Wi-Fi, and the phone connects to local partner networks on arrival.
Carrier unlock check: Settings → About phone → SIM status. Contact your carrier to request an unlock if locked.
Troubleshooting Edge 70 eSIM
"Download a SIM instead" not visible: Check Settings → About phone for the model number. US carrier-branded Edge 70 models may lack eSIM hardware. For global models, carrier lock is the most common cause — contact your carrier to unlock.
eSIM installed but no data abroad: Go to Settings → Network & internet → SIMs, select Roamix, enable Data Roaming, and set Roamix as the preferred data SIM. Toggle Airplane Mode on/off to reset network registration.
QR code scan fails: Must be on Wi-Fi. Use manual entry with the SM-DP+ address from your Roamix confirmation email if scanning fails repeatedly — tap "Enter manually" during the activation flow.
Motorola Edge 70 Series eSIM — Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Motorola Edge 70 have eSIM?
The global variant does. Edge 70, 70 Ultra, 70 Fusion, and 70 Fusion+ global models support eSIM alongside a physical nano-SIM. US carrier-branded Edge 70 units sold by Verizon or T-Mobile may not include eSIM hardware — check your model number at Settings → About phone.
Why is 'Download a SIM instead' not visible on my Edge 70?
Two causes: (1) US carrier-branded model without eSIM hardware — confirm model number in Settings → About phone; (2) carrier lock — contact your carrier to request an unlock. Motorola uses near-stock Android (My UX) — eSIM is at Settings → Network & internet → SIMs, not a Samsung-style SIM Manager.
How to activate eSIM on Motorola Edge 70?
Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → + icon → Download a SIM instead → scan Roamix QR code. Device must be on Wi-Fi. Set the new eSIM as your data line and enable Data Roaming after installation.
Does Edge 70 support Dual eSIM?
No. The Edge 70 series supports one active eSIM alongside one physical nano-SIM. Dual eSIM is not available on Motorola Edge 70 models.
