The Motorola Edge 60 series (2025) — Edge 60, 60 Pro, 60 Fusion, and 60 Stylus — all support eSIM on the global variant. One active eSIM at a time alongside the physical nano-SIM.
US carrier variant warning: Motorola releases separate hardware builds for US carriers (Verizon, T-Mobile). These US-specific models may ship without eSIM hardware. Confirm your device is the global variant by checking the model number at Settings → About phone → Model before purchasing a Roamix plan.
Activation path note: Motorola runs near-stock Android (My UX overlay), so there is no Samsung-style SIM Manager. The eSIM option is at Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → + → Download a SIM instead.
Does the Edge 60 Series Support eSIM?
Yes. Every Edge 60 model includes the hardware required for eSIM connectivity. This enables a dual SIM setup where you can keep your home line active for calls while using a separate digital line for international data.

Motorola Edge 60 eSIM for International Travel
Roamix works with any unlocked global Edge 60. Purchase a plan, scan the QR code on Wi-Fi, and the phone connects to local partner networks on arrival.
Carrier unlock check: Settings → About phone → SIM status. Contact your carrier to request an unlock if locked.
Troubleshooting Edge 60 eSIM
"Download a SIM instead" not visible: Check your model number at Settings → About phone. US carrier-branded Edge 60 models may lack eSIM hardware entirely. For global models, carrier lock is the most common cause — contact your carrier.
eSIM installed but no data abroad: Go to Settings → Network & internet → SIMs, select Roamix, enable Data Roaming, and set Roamix as the preferred data SIM. Toggle Airplane Mode on/off.
QR code scan fails: Must be on Wi-Fi. Use manual entry (SM-DP+ address from your Roamix email) if the camera scan fails repeatedly.
Motorola Edge 60 Series eSIM — Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Motorola Edge 60 have eSIM?
The global variant does. Edge 60, 60 Pro, 60 Fusion, and 60 Stylus global models support eSIM alongside a physical nano-SIM. US carrier-branded Edge 60 units sold by Verizon or T-Mobile may not include eSIM hardware — check your model number at Settings → About phone.
Why is 'Download a SIM instead' not visible on my Edge 60?
Two causes: (1) US carrier-branded model without eSIM hardware — confirm model number in Settings → About phone; (2) carrier lock — contact your carrier to request an unlock. Motorola uses near-stock Android (My UX), so the eSIM menu is at Settings → Network & internet → SIMs, not a Samsung-style SIM Manager.
How to activate eSIM on Motorola Edge 60?
Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → + icon → Download a SIM instead → scan Roamix QR code. Device must be on Wi-Fi. Set the new eSIM as your data line and enable Data Roaming after installation.
Does Edge 60 support Dual eSIM?
No. The Edge 60 series supports one active eSIM alongside one physical nano-SIM. Dual eSIM (two simultaneous active eSIM lines) is not available on Motorola Edge 60 models.
