Lenovo Tab eSIM support is limited to the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 in 5G configuration. The first-generation P11 Pro, all Wi-Fi-only Tab variants, and the broader M-series and K-series tablets do not support eSIM.
Confirming cellular hardware: Go to Settings → Network & internet. If a 'Mobile network' or 'SIMs' section is present with an option to add a SIM, your tablet has cellular hardware. If only Wi-Fi settings appear, the tablet has no eSIM capability.
No carrier unlock needed: Lenovo tablets are not carrier-locked. Roamix profiles install directly from Android Settings without contacting any carrier.
How to Activate eSIM on Lenovo Tablets
- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & internet.
- Tap Mobile network or SIMs.
- Tap Add SIM or the + icon.
- Tap Download a SIM instead.
- Scan the Roamix QR code received via email — tablet must be on Wi-Fi.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
- Set the Roamix eSIM as your default Mobile data line.

Troubleshooting Lenovo Tab eSIM
"Download a SIM instead" option not visible: Your Lenovo Tab is either a Wi-Fi-only model (no cellular hardware) or you have the first-generation Tab P11 Pro (no eSIM). Confirm your exact model number in Settings → About tablet. Only the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 5G supports eSIM.
eSIM installed but no data abroad: Confirm the Roamix eSIM is set as the Mobile data line: Settings → Network & internet → SIM cards → select Roamix eSIM → set as default for Mobile data. Also verify Data Roaming is enabled for the Roamix profile specifically.
QR scan fails during activation: The tablet must have an active Wi-Fi connection to download the eSIM profile. If scanning from an email attachment, ensure the QR code image is not compressed. Use the manual activation code entry option (SM-DP+ address) from your Roamix confirmation email as an alternative.
Profile shows as installed but inactive: In SIM management, select the Roamix eSIM profile and tap "Activate" or "Enable." Some Android builds require an explicit enable step after download. Toggle Airplane mode on/off to force network re-registration after activating.
