Lenovo IdeaPad eSIM is only available when the WWAN (LTE/5G) cellular module was selected when purchasing. Standard Wi-Fi IdeaPad laptops have no cellular hardware and cannot be upgraded. The IdeaPad 5G and select IdeaPad Flex LTE variants are the IdeaPad models with confirmed eSIM support.
No carrier unlock needed: IdeaPad laptops are not sold through mobile carriers and are not locked. Roamix profiles install directly through Windows — no carrier contact required.

How to Activate eSIM on IdeaPad
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.

- Select Scan a QR code.
- Scan the Roamix QR code received via email — laptop must be on Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting IdeaPad eSIM
"Cellular" section missing in Windows Settings: The IdeaPad was ordered without the WWAN module — it is Wi-Fi only. The LTE/5G modem is a factory-installed component and cannot be added post-purchase. Some IdeaPad models do support aftermarket WWAN cards — consult the IdeaPad's hardware maintenance manual on Lenovo's support site.
