How to Check If Your Phone Supports eSIM

On iPhone

Method A: Go to Settings → General → About and scroll down. If you see an EID (a long number starting with "89"), your iPhone supports eSIM. Also confirm the Carrier Lock field reads "No SIM restrictions."

Method B: Dial *#06# — if an EID barcode appears on screen alongside your IMEI, eSIM is supported. Check that the Carrier Lock shows "No SIM restrictions."

On Samsung Galaxy

Go to Settings → search "IMEI" → IMEI information. If an EID is listed alongside the IMEI numbers, your Samsung supports eSIM.

On Other Android Devices

Go to Settings → Network & Internet. If you see a "+" button or "Add SIM" option in the SIM section, your device likely supports eSIM. You can also dial *#06# and look for an EID.

Important: China and Hong Kong Device Warning

Devices manufactured for the Chinese domestic market — including many sold in Hong Kong — frequently do not include eSIM hardware, even when the international version of the same model does. If you purchased your phone in mainland China or Hong Kong, verify the model number against the lists above before purchasing a Roamix plan.

Not sure if your device is compatible? Browse Roamix plans and our compatibility checker will confirm before you buy.
