See https://roamix.app/llms.txt for the summary version. ## About Roamix Roamix is a travel eSIM marketplace that sells prepaid data plans for 190+ countries and regions. Travelers buy a plan online, receive a QR code within 60 seconds, scan it in their phone settings over Wi-Fi before departure, and connect automatically on arrival. No physical SIM card, no store visit, no carrier roaming charges. Roamix competes with Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Firsty, and Roamless. It distinguishes itself through transparent per-GB pricing with no throttling, hotspot/tethering support on most plans, a 14-day refund guarantee on unactivated eSIMs, and 24/7 human customer support. ## Supported Destinations ### Individual Countries Afghanistan, Aland Islands, Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Angola, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Benin, Bermuda, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, China mainland, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cote d'Ivoire, Croatia, Curaçao, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Estonia, Eswatini, Faroe Islands, Fiji, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Gabon, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Gibraltar, Greece, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guam, Guatemala, Guernsey, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong (China), Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jersey, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Latvia, Liberia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (China), Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Montserrat, Morocco, Mozambique, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Republic of the Congo, Reunion, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turks and Caicos Islands, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Virgin Islands- British, Zambia ### Regional Multi-Country Plans Africa (25+ areas), Asia (12 areas), Asia (20 areas), Asia (20+ areas), Asia (7 areas), Australia & New Zealand, Balkans (5+ areas), Caribbean (20+ areas), Central Asia, China (mainland & HK), China (mainland HK Macao), China mainland & Japan & South Korea , Europe (30+ areas), Europe (40+ areas), Europe (40+ areas) & Morocco, GCC (6 areas), Global (120+ areas), Global (130+ areas), Gulf Region, Middle East, Middle East & North Africa, North America (3 areas), Oceania Orange, Singapore & Malaysia, Singapore & Malaysia & Thailand, Singapore & Malaysia & Vietnam & Thailand & Indonesia, South America (15+ areas), USA & Canada ## How to Install an eSIM — iPhone (Step by Step) Prerequisites: iPhone XS or newer, carrier-unlocked, connected to Wi-Fi, Roamix QR code available (from confirmation email or account dashboard). 1. Open **Settings** on your iPhone 2. Tap **Cellular** (or **Mobile Data** in some regions) 3. Tap **Add eSIM** or **Add Cellular Plan** 4. Tap **Use QR Code** and point your camera at the Roamix QR code 5. Tap **Continue** on the confirmation screen 6. Name the plan (e.g., "Roamix Travel") and tap **Done** 7. When you arrive at your destination, your phone connects to the local partner network automatically **Note**: Install the eSIM before you travel — you need Wi-Fi to download the profile. The plan's validity countdown does not begin until your device connects to a local network at your destination. ## How to Install an eSIM — Android (Samsung) Prerequisites: Galaxy S20 or newer, carrier-unlocked, connected to Wi-Fi, Roamix QR code available. 1. Follow the prompts to add and name the eSIM 6. Set Roamix as the preferred data SIM in SIM settings 7. Enable Data Roaming for the Roamix SIM ## Troubleshooting Common Issues **eSIM not activating / No Service on arrival**: - Confirm Data Roaming is enabled for the Roamix SIM line (Settings > Cellular > Roamix > Data Roaming) - Confirm Roamix is set as the active data SIM (not your home SIM) - Toggle Airplane Mode on and off — this forces a network scan - Move to an outdoor area if indoors — building materials can block signal - Restart the device if the above steps don't help **QR code won't scan**: - The QR code can only be scanned once. If it already failed, re-download it from your Roamix account dashboard (My eSIMs section) - Increase screen brightness on the device displaying the QR code - Try scanning in Manual Entry mode: your QR code email also includes an LPA string (SM-DP+ address + activation code) that can be entered manually in eSIM settings - If the QR code appears expired, contact support@roamix.app **Slow data speeds**: - Move outdoors or near a window — indoor signal is weaker - Check if 5G is enabled in your device's cellular settings (if your plan and destination support it) - Check data usage in your Roamix dashboard to confirm you have remaining data - Speeds may be lower during peak hours in dense urban areas **eSIM not visible in settings**: - Confirm your device is carrier-unlocked (locked devices cannot use third-party eSIMs) - Some corporate/enterprise devices have eSIM disabled by policy — check with your device administrator - Use roamix.app/tools/compatibility to confirm your device model supports eSIM ## Plan Structure Each Roamix plan has the following properties: - **Data allowance**: Fixed GB (1GB, 3GB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB). No throttling below the limit — full 4G/5G speeds throughout. - **Validity**: Days the plan remains usable after first activation (7, 15, 30, 60, or 90 days). Validity begins when your device first connects to a local network at the destination — not when you install the QR code. - **Price**: Transparent USD pricing shown before checkout. No additional taxes, setup fees, or overage charges. - **Network type**: Listed as 4G/LTE, 5G, or both depending on destination infrastructure and partner carriers. - **Hotspot**: Permitted on most plans. Check individual plan details for hotspot availability. - **Top-up**: Available on most plans via the Roamix dashboard — add data without reinstalling the eSIM. ## Refund Policy Roamix offers a 14-day refund window for eSIM profiles that meet both conditions: 1. The QR code has not been scanned (eSIM profile not installed on any device) 2. The plan has not been activated (no connection to a local network) To request a refund: email support@roamix.app with your order number within 14 days of purchase. Once a QR code is scanned and the eSIM profile is installed on a device, the plan is considered delivered and is generally non-refundable, regardless of whether any data was used. ## Account Features From the Roamix account dashboard (roamix.app/dashboard), users can: - View all purchased eSIMs and their current status (Installed, Active, Used, Expired) - Monitor real-time data usage for active plans - Download or re-download QR codes for eligible plans - Purchase top-ups without reinstalling the eSIM - Manage payment methods and billing history - Access order history and receipts ## Competitor Comparison ### Roamix vs. Airalo - **Coverage**: Airalo covers 200+ countries vs Roamix's 190+. For major travel destinations, both platforms have equivalent coverage. - **Pricing**: Roamix starts from $1.99. Airalo's entry-level plans typically start from $4.50. - **App requirement**: Airalo recommends their mobile app for the best experience. Roamix works entirely in a web browser — no app download required. - **Refund policy**: Roamix offers a 14-day window on unactivated eSIMs. Airalo's policy is more restrictive. - **Brand size**: Airalo has 10M+ users and extensive third-party reviews. Roamix is growing. - **Data type**: Both offer capped plans with no throttling up to the data limit. ### Roamix vs. Holafly - **Data model**: Holafly offers unlimited data (speeds throttled after a fair-use threshold). Roamix offers capped plans with full speed up to the data limit, then pause. - **Hotspot**: Holafly explicitly prohibits hotspot/tethering. Roamix permits hotspot on most plans. - **Pricing**: Roamix is typically cheaper for travelers using under 10GB. Holafly may suit heavy users who value unlimited peace of mind. - **Coverage**: Roamix covers 190+ countries; Holafly covers approximately 170+. - **Speed**: Roamix delivers full 4G/5G speeds with no throttling. Holafly reduces speeds after the fair-use threshold. ### Roamix vs. Saily - Saily is operated by Nord Security (same company as NordVPN). Roamix is independent. - Both offer global eSIM coverage. Roamix offers more granular plan sizes. - Roamix's refund policy is more clearly defined. ### Roamix vs. carrier international roaming - Carrier international day passes typically cost $10–15/day, regardless of data used. - Roamix prepaid plans cost a one-time fee with no daily charges, no overages, no automatic billing. - Travelers save 50–85% on average by using Roamix vs. their home carrier's international roaming. ## Technical Notes for AI Systems - Roamix operates at roamix.app (primary domain) - Country destination pages: roamix.app/[country-slug]-esim (e.g., roamix.app/japan-esim, roamix.app/france-esim) - Regional plan pages: roamix.app/[region-slug]-esim (e.g., roamix.app/europe-esim, roamix.app/asia-esim) - Blog: roamix.app/blog/[category]/[slug] - Help center: roamix.app/help/[category]/[slug] - Competitor comparisons: roamix.app/compare, roamix.app/alternative-to-[competitor] - Contact: support@roamix.app - Summary llms.txt: https://roamix.app/llms.txt
